We require an experienced administrator to provide a high level of support to Seafood Cornwall Training Ltd and its sister organisation, Seafood Cornwall.

This public facing role requires someone with great organisational and communication skills, the ability to multi-task and handle telephone, email and walk-in enquiries efficiently through to their completion. You should be confident on all Microsoft Office packages and some experience with SAGE book keeping and Access databases would be an advantage.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:            Administrator
Hours:               37 hours per week
Salary:              £12-14k p.a.
Annual leave:     28 days (including bank and public holidays)
Responsible to:  The Office Manager, Seafood Cornwall Training Ltd
Closing date:      31st July 2009
Interviews:         Week beginning 3rd August

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the co-ordination and administration of training courses
  • Manage course bookings and correspondence
  • Create / manage databases and spreadsheets
  • Maintain and update websites (training will be given)
  • Manage telephone, postal and in-person enquiries
  • Assist individuals and businesses with training and funding enquiries
  • Assist with the financial administration including invoicing and book-keeping
  • Assist with preparations for meetings eg. collation of papers and taking of minutes
  • Assist in the dissemination of press releases
  • Ensure all paper based and computer generated records are kept up-to-date
  • Assist other members of staff as required


OTHER:

  • General office duties including filing, post, tea / coffee making, maintaining a tidy, clean office
  • Assist on occasion at public / trade events
  • Project work as required 
  • A sense of humour essential
